It's still good

Fabulous weekend.... fabulous in every possible way! Had a nice week too, but the weekend was so great because I spent it with Matt the Vet. (I have 4 Matts in my life, so I feel obligated to qualify which one.)  We couldn't wait til Saturday to hagn out so we ended up coming over Friday night- I cooked a salmon, parsnips and did a salad- he loved it! (Way to a man's heart is through the stomach perhaps? Score 1 point for me. Maybe 2, because I made a chocolate cake too.) Then we just sat talking on the patio for ages and ages. Fast forward to Saturday morning- we made crepes champignon (mushroom crepes) with eggs and a sharp white cheddar bernaise sauce-- that was effing incredible! Then sat out on the patio again ( I LOVE October in Texas!) and drank tea, just enjoying the morning (ok, early afternoon). We watched a couple movies, played some cards, played XBOX (YAY! I finally got to play as Sparkles on Deathspank!) and then took a nap. I had a concert that evening and told him he didn't have to go, but I did, so either I could see him tomorrow or he could come. He decided to go to the concert! I was shocked! He had brought clothes appropriate for a concert with him, having remembered me mentioning this event, and anticipated that I would invite him. I thought it was so sweet that he'd actually go. Luckily he enjoyed it, and then took me to dinner after. I have a MAJOR concert high after I play, so I was full of energy at 11pm. I used it well! ;)

Sunday was fun too- we made French toast and just sat talking and playing card games until we decided to go to a pub and play darts. I didn't think that I missed the simple things, like playing cards, or sleeping in and watching bad Saturday morning TV, or just laying on the couch talking... it was so comfortable, no pressure, just really enjoyable. The hell of it is, he liked it too and was soooo sweet the whole weekend. Yeah, I hear you out there saying "Yeah because he wants in your pants". Fine, so what if he does? We're having fun. And I was comfortable. It's nice. I mean REALLY nice not to have to deal with drama for four other sides. He's NORMAL! My biggest complaint... uh, he lives like 45 minutes away. Handsome, tall, intelligent, likes my cooking, treats me like I'm the only woman on the planet, knows what to do in bed and is good at it, no medical issues, not married or separated, no poisonous roommate, no kids, no ex. I DID ask how come he's never been married (he's 34)... just unlucky he said. I think I need to dig a little deeper there. But anyway, I'm congratulating myself on this one. He's incredibly kind, generous and considerate, and that's what's important to me.

On a weird note: a kid came to school today without his cello and said it's because he left it in the garage when he got home from school and his mom accidentally rolled over it when she came home!!! Good job, smart one! *facepalm* I sense a new cello in his future. Probably no allowance for like three years either. :-P

Awesome!! Don't be worried about the age thing, I was 37 and I's normal :)
