Shared on Tue, 08/09/2011 - 18:15... and wound up with three. :) I have gotten the itch to ink again (every summer/fall-ish) so I drew up a few ideas. First, I did f-holes on the back on my neck (f-holes are the F and S shaped holes on the top of a violin/viol/cello. I wanted them on my lower back but decided I'm too fat for that and it was too expensive, so they wound up on the back of my neck, and I like it. #2 was a keyboard, heart, treble clef and bass clef design I drew up. With some tweaking by the tattoo artist, it wound up on my left lower shoulder blade. I had been undecided about a piano tribute as a tattoo and played around with some ideas and came up with the following set of choices: keyboard stretching across both my thighs, so I could put my fingers on them and "play" whenever I want; tiny little keyboard (one octave only) on the inside of my wrist; or a scrolling keyboard underneath my sternum, just underneath my breasts and never visible unless I choose it to be. I nixed the idea of the keyboard on the thighs- too gaudy and $$$, and would just look incomplete no matter what. The tiny one on the inside of my wrist I really liked, but decided that my school may not be as happy about that one as I would be, and so I went with the sternum. Happy :)
