Spending the weekend in Skyrim

I have had another wonderful birthday, made all thebetter by my wonderful boyfriend who dropped the hint to his family that I wanted Skyrim, so his parents and cousins gave it to me for my birthday! :) Matt got me Catan, the actual card game (which I love) and a book by The Oatmeal (he is SO right) and another book I've been wanting in a series I read. (Historical fiction lovers- you may enjoy C.J. Sansom's books).

My students got together and decided to form an official gaming club at my school and asked me to be the sponsor, so we did. We play games on our own time in our own homes, and at the meetings we basically review games, give tips, share "war stories". LOL, it's funny because these kids get so into it. I've actually learned a lot! I learned that I have WAY more skills in Mario Bros than these kids could ever hope for, but they could beat me any day on Call of Duty. I thought it'd be like 8 kids-- no I have 30 something signed up for this! I'm shocked. As a school club, we have to support a cause or make a donation to charity somehow, so we decided to take all the games we wanted to sell back, get the cash from it and then donate that as a lump sum to a charity our school is supporting.

I would write more but I have to start piano lessons. More later.

I wonder what the percentage of kids in your club is who don't game per se but nurse a secret crush for you! ;-)
