Star Wars and anniversary weekend

This past weekend Matt and I celebrated a one year anniversary (dating of course), which was really very nice. I'm shocked we made it this far and yet at the same time not surprised. With him, I'm generally pretty laid back and easy going, and it's probably because HE is. I'm gained some emotional control and generally calmed down about the little things, and have done better about not reading between lines when there's nothing to infer. So far so good. We had a nice Mediterranean dinner (mmmm lamb kabobs) and just had a good time being with each other. Neither of us made any toasts to the future, but it actually didn't panic me. We just enjoyed the moment for what it was. :)

This Friday marked the released of the Star Wars Blu-Ray box set release. We bought it and spent all weekend watching the movies, in order 1-6 (rather than 4,5, 1, 2, 3, 6 as I heard recommended on G4) and watched almost all of the bonus material. It was such a great weekend! Star Wars, you make me smile. George Lucas et al... nice additions and tweaks. i'm not a purist about Star Wars so this set pleased me (in general).

Is it worth $100+ for the box set? Maybe. If you're a purist, no. If you like a  LOT of extended scenes and deleted scenes, no. If you hated the Special Edition release, no. If you want to see Star Wars in HD (with a decent 1080p TV and a Blu Ray player), yes.

School was not so hot today, so I picked myself up with a salted caramel mocha frappuccino... oh yeahhhhhh--- the salt is what I live for.

 Happy work week. Oh, my brother is an ass. He called me yesterday as he was boarding his flight to Grand Caymen, saying "Have a great week at WORK while I'm at the beach resort!" I said to have a nice time, but secretly I was thinking, "Yeah I may have to work but YOU have to spend all week long with your wife, without the dog, realtors, work or ANYTHING to interrupt your time together. Frankly, I'd RATHER be at work than within 10 yards of Jenny." (Commence evil laugh) Oh really she's not THAT bad, I just have a sour mood towards her more often than not. I would say it's nothing personal, but really it is. She just rubs me the wrong way, and I'm sure it's entirely unintentional. I'm just bitter that way I guess. >:-)
