Anyone reading this blog before 7:30CST feel free to give your opinion.

Dinner meeting with artistic director of orchestra I am applying to conduct for, 8pm at a French bistro. This is an interview in the final selection stage, so more of a discussion than anything else.

I can either wear a black business suit, appropriate for evening but also for a conductor. Or I could be a little cuter and wear a black pencil skirt with a solid purple blouse and tasteful heels.

So do I play it safe or a little sexier? (Sorry to those of you who read this and wasted your time.)

Sexiness does sell, but I would go with the professional approach. The black business suit suggests confidence and that you plan on taking this job seriously. I might be wrong, but that's the ensemble I would wear. Good luck!

I opted for a purple and black dress and black heels. Interview went very well and I'll hear back tomorrow. Whether I accept the position or not is another thing.
