Shared on Sun, 04/04/2010 - 17:48O.K , since last time, my Battlefield 2 experience has gotten a little better. I am still learnig the maps, but I'm actually starting to contribute something productive to the squad other than being a bullet catcher. I also played the single player campaign through and I thought the story line was as good as Modern Warfare. The little inside jokes at MW2 were funny enough to at least crack a smile. I also like achievements that don't require you to play the entire campaign again on veteran. So, is it better than MW2? No, not better, but better than I first thought. Maybe I'll keep it a little longer.
Now on to Mappacks. I downloaded the "Stimulus Package" for MW2 and have been playing the new maps. I know a lot of people groused about the two COD4 maps repackaged for MW2 but I liked them both and it doesn't bother me too much. I do see it is kind of lazy just sticking two already designed maps onto the map pack and charging more for the map pack but its capitalisim 101. We all agreed to pay the higher price which tells Infinity and other game studios that we as a playing community will pay half again what a map pack used to cost. I think that's why Infinity called it the "Stimulus Package" insted of the "Bend over and take it -what else you gonna do?" package. But hey! you also got a "free" Avatr NVG helmet. Yes, I did download it why not? I paid for it.
