Rocksmith works, I killed a fish & other random shit

So I went back and played Nirvana's "In Bloom" tonight.  It's hard to believe that just a few short weeks ago I was struggling on this song.  My previous best score (after playing it everynight for a week) was 45,000.  I played it once tonight and got over 60,000 points on it.  Rocksmith is working.  With a few more play throughs I think I could unlock the full song note for note.  WTF, I never would have thought in a million years I could go from not knowing a damn thing about a guitar to playing complete songs in just 5 weeks.  This "game" is awesome.  If anyone reading this has the slightest interest in learning how to play the guitar and has ever played Guitar Hero or Rockband go out and buy this game.  You won't regret it.

On an unrelated note, I managed to kill a Pleco in my fish tank this week.  The tank itself seems fine.  I have 2 Mollies and 5 Tetra in it that are doing fine, but I put a Pleco in there and within 4 days he was a goner.  I'm thinking it was already sick before I got it.  Kind of frustrating, but I'm going to get another one and see what happens. 

I haven't been racing in Forza lately.  In fact I can't even get to my rig at the moment.  There's a pile of baby toys and other shit sitting on top of it.  Honestly I'm having so much fun learning to play the guitar I haven't given a fuck.  I know that will change as soon as I get it cleaned up and sit down for 5 minutes, but maybe it's best for now that I don't.  My youngest is crawling around pretty good now and I rather he didn't get over there and start tugging on wires.

Oh and I decided to hold off a while on buying a new guitar.  As much as I want one, the starter one I'm using now is just fine.  I'm going to wait until the end of the year before I go looking.  I may buy a new amp though...
