Shared on Sun, 10/16/2011 - 18:53I shot back down to Worcester, MA this morning with all my video gear in tow. I met up with Waterborn at around 11:30 so we could start shooting more video for the Pop Culture Series project that we started a year ago, but has been stagnant since.
As you saw in his blog, he drummed up a relationship with the production team from the movie Inkubus, which premiered last night at the event. The production team was incredibly generous and gracious for the promotion we planned on giving them: they gave us a MASSIVE amount of space in their production area and helped us immensely in setting up interviews with the cast and crew.
This is me in our makeshift production space, in between interviews:
Over the course of the day I got almost 2 HOURS of usable interview footage. We got to spend some real quality time with a number of amazing actors (and amazing people), including Jonathan Silverman (Weekend at Bernie's) and Joey Fatone (NSYNC), both of whom are also in Inkubus:
Waterborn also interviewed William Forsythe. After the interview he hung out with us and bullshitted about movie reviewers and being in the industry for so long. He was WAY more friendly than I expected, given his hard-as-nails onscreen persona.
But the best was saved for last. Robert Englund, AKA Freddy Fucking Krueger agreed to speak with us. At the very last minute Kane Fucking Hodder, who played Jason in a number of the Friday the 13th films, came into the production area with us and agreed to join in on the interview:
That's Kane Hodder on the left, Robert Englund on the right, and Waterborn in the middle. These two guys gave one amazing interview. They are friends in real life and that was clear in the interview - they have some real chemistry on camera. Robert Englund in particular is a seasoned professional in interviews, and this interview is VERY entertaining.
They also agreed to a picture. First, Kane Hodder is one strong motherfucker. Second, I apologize for the goofy look on my face. I tried to look scared but couldn't stop smiling - these two guys are horror film legends that I grew up with.
Check back soon. We are going to release between 5 and 10 interviews one at a time. Waterborn is a natural at interviewing people so all the videos are going to be very interesting. Stay tuned!
