Shared on Mon, 04/05/2010 - 14:09It's been over a week now since PAX East. Leaving there reinvigorated my interest in gaming as a whole and especially in doing my part for the 2old2play community, particularly Waterborn, DSmooth, and everybody else who works their asses off to keep things running smoothly on the site and in real life. As a result I'm 100% in for the "street team" idea recently proposed all over the forums by DSmooth.
A day or two before PAX kicked off I offered to record the GGW party since Waterborn obviously had his hands full. Within a couple days after the event I extracted and quickly edited some of the video to post the Adam Sessler clip (scroll down) and the drawing of Omega's custom 360. Since Tuesday I've used whatever free time I've had to edit the rest of the video. I'm almost done but there are still some cuts I'd like to make - right now it's just shy of 10 minutes, and I want to keep it shorter so it's interesting to people who weren't able to attend the event. Personally I don't like sitting through 10 minute video on YouTube, under 6 minutes is my goal but there is a lot of great footage there.
To add to the "I don't have any free time but keep piling shit on myself" equation, a friend from one of my old radio stations asked me about doing a podcast. Normally I would say I don't have time but right off the heels of PAX, I jumped right on board. We have spoken about it a couple times, mostly developing (and subsequently striking) ideas, but needless to say this will have to do with gaming.
So here I am, enveloped in 3 projects having to do with gaming and yet I haven't even powered on the PS3 or 360 in at least a couple weeks now. On the agenda is BC2, which is amazing and has been out for a month, and I haven't been able to really get into it yet.
