Give me a call at EX-WHORE

I have been without a home phone line since college. I've been having reception issues with my iPhone so decided it's finally time to get a home phone. Being the cheap bastard that I am, I picked up a Linksys internet phone that works with Yahoo and subcribed to their voice service (at $2.99 a month plus 1¢ per minute, I think it's a decent deal!). I got to the page where I had to pick a number and while I couldn't get the New Hampshire area code I chose another New England area code. They gave me a couple options.

I remember seeing www.phonespell.org a few years ago so before I selected a number, I decided to plug each one into the PhoneSpell site to see what they mean. The first one I tried was the winner:

You guessed it.. my new phone number is EX-WHORE. Unfortunately my friends in NH have to dial the area code first, but with cell phones and Vonage most won't have to pay long distance. As you can imagine my wife isn't thrilled with the number. But at least now nobody can say "I was going to call you, but I forgot your phone number." Did you try Ex Whore?

Ah, I love the little realizations that even at age 28, I still haven't transcended my frat-boy immaturity.
