Well people, my specialty security torx tool came yesterday, and my controller shells came on the weekend. so last night I got my mod on and I did not break a freaking single item!!!

Here are the pics:

All set up...

I then proceeded to unscrew all the screws. But wait, the shell is still not coming apart..Where could the last screw be?

yep behind the freaking sticker...Bastards!!

So now lets check out the inside..

so far...nothing has been really difficult. Just pulling off the bottom trim piece here..(ha..I said trim...)

got the board out, and getting ready to install in the new shell.

Now I started to run into the part where I wanted to kill someone. Taking the triggers off and then putting the new ones on was a pain in the Ass!!! You have to kind off force it, but yet you do not know how much you actually can before you break it. So after some very colorfull metaphores of accusing the fabricators of sleeping with their sister the town whore. I got them to attach..So I pressed on, and got the board into the new shell.

Now I originally thought I was going to do a red front and a blue back to the controller, but then I thought just swapping the trim pieces would look better. (he..he..I said trim again). Here is the finshed top view.

Here is the back view.

Top view (where the plug and charge port is). Probably should have used the flash..

Bottom view (where you plug in the mic)

So now the big test. I went into the living room, Used the controller to power on the 360, moved around the menu's, popped in H2 an went in to test'er out.

And to my surprise no problems, it worked perfectly!! Holy crap I did it without breaking something!!! Sweet!!

So tonight, after doing more stuff for the kids room, I will try to do my other controller, the colour will just be reversed on this one. I will try to take some pics of the triggers this time so you can get an idea of the rage..

Congrads good job, I think you made the right choice just using the trim from the different controllers.
