Comic Book Wed on Friday? WTF! Part Deux..

So over the weekend, It was my task to lower Logan's crib. He is starting to show signs of world domination, so we thought this preventitive measure might save the rest of you...at least for a couple more weeks....anyway on with my story.

So in case you did not know, some cribs have the ability to adjust the hight of the frame that the mattress sits on...this is so when the little one begins to sit up or pull himself or herself up they do not fall out of the crib and have to wear a styrofoam helmet and ride the short yellow bus..I already did this to Summer's crib weeks ago (she is such the over achiever) and it was pretty damn easy.

So I go to do the same to Logan's crib, and when I get to the rails of the frame I am like WTF...this is bad...at this time I realize that I put the crib (the part of the mattress frame) together wrong...the screws are on the wrong side and I am unable to get the screw out to lower the frame because it is behind a crossmember of the crib...

Now a little side note, I am actually sick at this point, I have a fever (no the kids are not in the room with me) and have thrown up and been pissing out my cornhole for a few hours...I know TMI...But I like to share with my friends :)

So in my sick state I just want to get this over with...so what do I do...well what every Beer drinking, ball scratching, fart passing, budda belly man does...FORCE IT!!!! And it worked on one side...so I am like hell just rinse and repeat and off to bed...well I am trying this on the opposite side and it is not working...so I call Teri up for a little assistance, tell her when I pull on the crossmember to try and get the screw out...Ok on 3......1....2.....3....rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr HULLLLKKKKKK SSSSSMMMMAAASSSSHHHH!!!!

Then it happens......SNAP!!!! I split that mofo in half.....now, usually, being adroit in the vulgar arts, I wield a menagerie of extensible swear words, words that given the right tone and timbre, can slice the ear off a baboon at 30 yards, rend the panties from a virgin faster than thought*....but...when I get really, really, pissed...I get silent and stop everything...Teri immediately realizes she is at ground zero of a 10000 mega ton nuclear bomb and quickly leaves the room and closes the door.......she comes back about 10 minutes later with a paper plate, Gorilla Glue (this stuff is awesome by the way), and a tooth pick to help apply said glue...Luckily for me when it snapped in half it formed the most perfect jigsaw puzzle piece ever to be easily glued back together..so I apply the glue and after a few hours the crossmember is as good as new and the crib is lowered....Surprisingly this is the first "baby thing" that I have broken during assembly or disassembly...I am sure it will be one of 10 bazillion...LOL
