comics, action figures, and a night in the emergency room

Sooooo....needless to say the past 18 hrs have been.....eventfull. I went home yesterday from work, and within 15 minutes I get a call from Teri, but it is not Teri on the phone, some dude says..Hi..my name is Mike and I am here with your wife, she has fallen in Costco and has hurt her leg very badly...(WTF IS GOING ON)...Would you like to talk with her...uh...yeah...

So she gets on the phone, in a lot of pain, and is like, they have called the paramedics, my knee is huge and I think I broke it or something, I heard a pop when I fell down.

I then ask in my calm re-assuring voice, How did you fall down, she replies:'

I was walking and all of a sudden my knee starts to bend back and does not stop..

Okay baby...I am on my way, I am calling your mom to come ove and watch the kids.

So we get to the emergency room, the Dr.s come and check her out, and are like...well we need to get xrays, but we think she has some kind of fracture or dislocation of the knee or both..

They take xrays, and see it is a dislocation of the knee. And they are going to put her under and reset it..

A few minutes later she is out, and I am like "I am not watching this let me know when you are done". I am standing in the door way to the room and after a few minutes I hear...Pop..and then say...all done and it went back in nice and straight..We will still need to see an orthopedist to get an mri to see if there is any ligament damage.

Now I know this is not her fault, she had no control over this... NOT HER FAULT!!!

She spent the night in the icu, so they could check the pulse in the foot to make sure the blood flow was good, she is having a proceedure today (like an angiogram (sp)?) To make sure the blood flow is good in her leg.

She will be coming home today, and I will take good care of her...Well at least I will try, plus the twins, and then there is my sanity, but wtf who cares if I am insane or not.

So yeah, that was my night last night...Plus in the last month my Grandfather and Uncle have both gone to the hospital. So obviously some fucker has a voodo doll of me and is having a good time with it...Fuck you, who every you are..
