I have been posting in the OMM Clan forum in the weather thread and wanted to share these posts with anyone bored enough to read my blog:

 

2/1/11 post:

Today was very difficult...It only got up to 67 today and I had to put on a long sleeve t-shirt.

In addition to this as I was taking my daughter to pre-school I had to put on my sunglasses to lower the intense rays of the giant gas ball that our planet circles.

We are also preparing for the worst part that is to come...We may have a partially cloudy day tomorrow.

I shall keep you all posted as the events unfold!!!

 

 

2/2/11 post

Cloudpacalypes Day 2:

Things have made a turn for the worse..Wind has been introduced into our dire situation...

The Winds are supposed to kick up from anywhere from 20-30 mph through out the day.

Along with stocking up on Vitamin D for the possible reduction in Sun Light from the partially cloudy day, we have gone in search for a piece of protective clothing called....a Wind Breaker....we heard of this garment from tales passed down from the OLD ONES in which they described placing such a garment over their torso to help deflect the howling air from chilling their bodies.

The temperature is also dropping to dangerous levels..The high today is only going to reach 64 and the low is dropping to what only can be describe as the end of days, otherwise known as 33.

I will be making the trek to Costco today to stock up on Beef Jerky, toilet paper, Vitamin Water and to pick up an over-sized generator just in case of severe brown or black outs from the extreme weather.

KEEP GAUIS AND I IN YOUR THOUGHTS. WE ARE STRONG AND WILL WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THESE TRYING TIMES!!!

Thank goodness we're not having it as bad as you are. In Florida it's 76 as a high, dipping to 58 tonight, but we do have a 30% chance of rain, which could put my day off. I might even have to close work up early and head home.

*grins* I envy you...here, I'm spending another day at home because of snow and wind! The vitamin D idea is a good one! (^_^)

I find your insensitivity to our middle American brothers insensitive sir. There are real people struggling with emergency situations and they shouldn't be scoffed at. Rest assured a strongly worded PM has been sent to the admins. For shame.
