I have been building my truggy for racing this year. Geez, I had to go to the hardware store a dozen times already. The build is going slower than normal. Despite having built multiple 8th scale cars, this is giving me trouble. Some of the parts are not fitting together smoothly. That means extra deburring time. Also, I have never needed calipers before but this manual does not have scale pictures of the hardware. To further complicate things, Kyosho must have the absolute worst manual in the buisness. I will say the kit has a lot of billett aluminum in it. Most OEMs use stamped alu, cast alu or carbon fiber pieces that break. The plastic pieces that have bearings that fit into them do seem to fit perfectly. That is a big thing. Also, the straight cut diffs were a snap to get shimmed perfectly. Here is the Pro/con list:
Cons:
Extended Deburring
No Fluids- no diff lube, shock oil, or gear grease.
No extra springs.
Pleanty of unused plastic parts that look close to the part you are supposed to use.
At $829.99 from Amain, it is the most expensive truck.
Horrible manual.
Had to buy billet Axle Carriers because stock ones are cast.
Pros:
Quality machining.
Quality parts.
No CVDs. All U joint drive.
Super lightweight billet steel and alloy gears.
Billet and drilled brake rotors.
Lightweight small profile flywheel.
I hope all of you are having a good may 5th!

I don't sit and grind on it anymore. Usually when I pop on these days it is just for a run or 2.
