This fucking trucker...

This weeks fucking trucker is Joy! Well, this happened about 6 years ago but I am telling the story now... As always, the names are changed to protect the woodchucks.

So, I get this message over the computer. It was not addressed to me but I read it anyways because it came up on my board. It read:

Under other conditionions I will run. However, this is the 1st delivery and I was not prepared because of what I was told. Instead of beating around the bush, I will be honest. I have unexpectedly started my period and have bled through both pairs of jeans. Again, under better circumstances I would have run but I need to take care of the unexpected. Next week I can run as much as I can take - Joy

...Well shit...

I knew right away who the driver was. It identified their name and their truck number.

I exchange glances with night dispatch and they looked stupified. Clearly this was a private message intended for their driver manager and it was not for our eyes.You would have thought the driver would have sent a personal message and not used the *ALL macro for everyone company wide, including the other trucks...

Ah well, live and you learn I guess.
