Even though the title is an xbox 360 original release, the gameplay and graphics are still fresh. This is combined with a good story and the ability to put you in extremely uncomfortable situations. This all comes together for a quite unique gaming experience. Did I mention the game is scary? It isn't the enemies in this game that are scary (even though some of them have a hanibal Lecter meets Ninja Gaiden thing going on) but the environment that terrifies. Condemned does a really good job a turning down the lights, turning up the spooky noises and making certain that you are underequipped.
After all is said and done I find myself with a desire to go back and play the game again so I can pick up the missed birds and metal pieces for the achievements and plot report details. This also definitely has peaked my interest in Condemned 2. The sequal sounds better than the first so that can only be a good thing.
