SCHOOLLLLLL..... the most dreaded and loved word in a mom's vocabulary.

School shopping... typical backpack notebooks pencils and that crap but now we have an 11 yo turning 23 and well she has to shop at Holister you know the store you walk in to that smells like mens underarm the Ridiculously over priced t-shirts i could go to target and get for 6.99 but because it has that stupid freaking seagull bird thing it somehow makes it better.... GAH was I like this ? did i roll my eyes at my mom and call her CHEAP in the middle of a store? jeesus christ.. between the freakin heelys that are close to 70$ the jeans.. but not just easy cheap jeans she needs them from where ever her friends go.... OHHHH little does she know I cut the tags out and when asked ill say Well i didnt want them to itch ya babe:) jeans 9.99 vs 24.99 I WON this one...and the thing that kills me is this.. all the "banter" about clothes and belts and shoes.. AND she's a Tom Boy... does she not get the picture?????... she is gorgeous .. but doesn't see how beautiful she is.. THANK GOD... she loves .. football soccer running getting dirty but sees her friends in all these clothes and feels pressured... and as a mom you want to stand up... and teach about following but yet YOU ALL have been there.... you know that chuckle of friends when you dont have the snazzy SEAGULL thingie.. :) with me it was the "CB ski jacket"  every one was getting one i think i was in 6th or 7th grade and my mom couldnt afford it so she got me the SB ski jacket... yes the cheaper knock off... and of course you had to wear it mom bought it.. but oh lord the shame as i walked to school I swore i would never do it again.. and here I am calling my daughter spoiled and rotten for wanting what ever child wants... acceptence... GAH ...
