Shared on Tue, 03/24/2009 - 10:39in a week where i a have been the centre of a work romance rumour (untrue) and been handed a project that really should have been started months ago, one of my friends made the whole thing worse by lending me Mass effect to try before i buy.
i love this game, love it, i got home from work last night, stuck it in the xbox and resurfaced at about 11.30pm when i remembered to eat something before bedtime.
BUT
this game could not have arrived at a worse time.
last night i needed to set up spreadsheets, decide what needed to go where and have it ready for perusal by management first thing this morning. imagine their surprise when i had to tell them i had an issue with my laptop and would have it done by lunchtime, this project, which is to integrate the policies and procedures of four large departments onto one easy access database, needs to be done and dusted by 1st of april...which is just about impossible, unless you have a corner office and spend your days in meetings, in which case it seems the phrase "we have every confidence you can get this done, on time and in full" will actually make it happen. slapdash it will be then eh?
on a brighter note i now know that someone at work thinks i'm a hottie.
EDIT: it turns out the lady in question doesnt work with me, and is a friend of a friend kinda thing....but she does have a face like a smacked arse.
