My expanded views on the PS3

Shuttdown

Now that I have had the PS3 for a week, I would like to put some thoughts out there.  I really like the PS3 interface.  It is not as friendly as the blades on the 360 but I am used to since I have been using a PSP since the start of December.  I was able to download two games off of the PSN (Calling All Cars and flOw).  I really like the look and feel of those games.  I think this is one area where PS3 will pass 360 in the long run.  The only thing the 360 has is this department is quantity.  I am not a fan of the actual downloading of items from PSN.  It takes way too long.  Everything you download must install once downloaded.  I am currently playing Burnout and Resistance as far as full games.  I am not really sure who has the edge in this area.  However, I think that I can see where I am going to have a place in the entertainment center for the PS3.  I can see where as the life cycle goes on PS3 will get better.  I waited over a year and it is much different that the picture painted in the media.  I officially had my mind changed while playing Burnout (this game was developed for PS3 and is not a port).  With MLB 08 coming next month and Home, LBP, and Resistance 2 coming, I am glad I have the PS3 to see all of this.

I have to agree with about the quality of the picture and graphics while gamming on the PS3. I played on one for the first time at a friends house and was amazed at how much better the graphics were than on my 360. Perhaps it has to do with more data space on the Blueray discs? I don't know for sure; but they were great during game play!
