Well the results are in and I am officially bi polar.  I am sure how to handle the whole thing but after reading up on it I can say that it certainly fits.  I am on a mood stabilizer and will continue my therapy.  Like I said before, I am still trying to get my head around this.  I found this out on Thursday and it took me until now to actually blog it.  There are a great deal of things that I have to wrap my head around all of aspects that are affected by this.

A guy I used to be friends with was bipolar. Pretty bad at that based on some of the things he had done in the past. But when he was on medication, going to a therapist, and keeping busy he was fine. Better than fine, he was great to hang around with. Keep your hopes up and I am sure you will do great. My guess is that if you do everything they tell you then you will actually feel better in the long run.

Dude, you're not BiPolar. That's the latest 'fad' diagnostic they're handing out to people with mood swings to get them to buy drugs. It's a farce. Just like every kid who's hyperactive and doesn't have a great attention span today is diagnosed ADD or ADHD and given drugs to make them more compliant. Sure there's a few legitimiate cases but most ADD diagnosis are utter crap. The same is true with Bipolar disorder. I don't know you personally and i'm certainly no expert so sure there's a chance that maybe you are legitimately bipolar but chances are you're not.

Tank, I here ya, man. My original diagnosis was for depression and anxiety/panic. That was more drugs than this diagnosis. The explanation the doc gave made sense on a few levels. Anyway, I hope these meds work better than the last try since the others only made me suicidal and even more moody.

all three of those diagnosis are what my girlfriend has as well....and its just not a bag of fun. But I totally agree with Tank on this one...thats just an excuse for Doctors to sell some medications. Be careful with those meds...I've seen my girlfriend change in both good and bad ways on different meds...and shes having to change meds every other month or so. Its a struggle. I'll be keepin you in my prayers homey.
