It has a USB port and mini-pci slot. That means it has tons of expanding capabilities. I will be using it as a print server too so I can print from my laptop without having my desktop on. The linksys will just become a bridged AP for the 360 (for now).
The cool news, I got a DS Lite last week. I currently have Tetris, New Super Mario Bros, and Advance Wars. The system is awesome. Multiplayer tetris is cool. Advance Wars is very well done, and I would argue that this Super Mario is one of the best.
I dont know why Mario doesnt just auto-save the progress. You can go back to any level to try for the secrets. Its annoying to go through a tough level but the nearest save point is two levels away. Other than that I can not think of anything bad to say about the game. Tons of secrets and goodies with an old school feel. If I had to describe it I would say its a marriage
July 3rd was awesome. I usually go out on my motorcycle as there is little traffic and if you ride around in the country you get to see the little towns ont he horizon put up their fireworks. Last year I didnt do that, spent the weekend in Milwaukee. This year i spend friday-sunday in Milwaukee so on Monday i drove around on my motorcycle. It was awesome weather for driving around.
The previous weekend I spent at Road America for the SCCA June Sprints. Yep, Forza did a good job of modelling the track :) I cant wait to see what it looks like in Forza 2. They had a drifting demo on the go-cart track. I was 30ft away from a car that hit the barrier wall I was standing next to. The spectator next to me walked up to the driver and gave him a high 5 over the barrier. He didnt hit the wall that hard, just dented the bumper. With 10 minutes of repair he was back out there. Other than that he was the best guy there. He could keep the tires smoking the entire time going down the track.
A freak accident happened over lunch. My friends and I were eating at the main food booth when we heard a crash and saw people scrambling. If you dont know the layout of Road America or havent played Forza theres a hill going up the main straight. At the top of the hill next to the paddock is the main food booth. Well, a 1965/1966 Shelby Mustang GT 350 rolled down the hill and into a trailer. Luckily no one was injured, or even hurt. The car crashed about 10 feet shy of hitting a Vette that was being prepped for a race. From what we could tell the emergency brake must have failed. The car rolled down the hill through a wood fence, through a wood staircase, missing a couple of trailers and blechers (and people), and finally crashing into a trailer. One spectator that saw it said one guy did have to jump up on the hood of the car then off to the side to get out of the way.
