I got second on the latest 2o2p writing contest. I chose Crysis. Doodi gave a registration number and I registered the game. However, it doesn't show up in their download manager. So for the last week and a half I have been in a discussion with EA support. They had me reinstall the program, used the excuse that the ISP must be blocking ports, etc... They never answered a question I asked three times. I asked why do I have to log in twice to the website. First on the main site using my current login and second when I access certain parts, like registering a game, with my screen name and older password. I think that is a clue as to problem.

I disproved the ISP theory by asking Falelorn log in as me since he recently use the EA Download Manager. That was a no go. This is there latest response to that information.

I have been having issues with EA since BF2 came out. And when BF2142 was out it was a fucking nightmare all the bugs that had to be sorted out. EA is one major fucking reason I'm sticking to console gaming.

Dude that sucks. Have you tried phone support? I've never even tried EA support but with other services I have always noted that email support was the lowest quality because they could not escalate, just reply. But when you got those suckers on the phone they cannot just hang up or make non-sensical replies like that.

Yeah, that's an idea. Right now with the weather as it has been my cell phone sucks in my apartment. I'll have to find a way to do this elsewhere.

Poonga their website is a steamy pile of shit. I always have to do that double login as well and the second login never works. I bought skate and have never been able to access the online portion, after going round and round with customer service they told me 'everything looks fine on our end' and closed my ticket. Meanwhile their boards are full of people with the same problem--they just consciously choose not to acknowledge it.

This is a great example of how ** NOT ** to treat a customer. Some companies never cease to amaze me with their lack of customer service and the inability to understand why they loose customers. Geesh!

I totally understand. I bought SimCity Societies over the holidays because i'm a sim fan. The f'n game wouldn't even load up. It got to their stupid launcher program and i'd click play and get various different errors. I tired it on 5 different computers but primarily i was trying to get it working on my laptop. No go on anything. EA said they didn't test it on laptops so im like why the fuck don't you put not for use on laptops then on the box? Anyway i spent a month bouncing trouble tickets back and forth with them. I held out until Patch #2 came out but ironically trying to install patch #2 produced an error that my game wasn't installed properly and i should reinstall it (it was a fresh install just prior to trying to install #2). So by then i was like fuck this shit and i returned it to Amazon.com with a nice long letter and a print out of the service emails back and forth. T hen blasted the game on every website i could find it on along with hundreds of other people. EA sucks ass. It just renewed my self imposed ban on buying EA products. I thought MAYBE after a year of not buying their shit that maybe they'd cleaned their act up. NOPE ! So i'm totally done with EA stuff. I'm not buying Burnout because it's EA, won't be buying Mass Effect II or any other EA branded game. And for those devs that are just being published by EA i send them a note saying i love the game but because they're now part of EA i refuse to buy their product due to EA's poorer than poor quality, their logo on your game means it's sub-par quality. EA really pisses me off.
