I want o create my own animations. My ultimate goal is this - 24 LEDs on the bike that I have complete control over. Then to add something really unique I plan on putting a fonera wireless router or something else that is low power but suports openwrt and has a serial port. "A wireless router?" you say. I like going to motorcycle get togethers and shows. I think it will be an interesting social experient to allow anyone with a iphone, smartphone, whaterever to control the LEDs on my bike.
I am not an electrical engineer. However, I can follow schematics. This looks complicated, but I am just grabbing information found on the internet. I haven't really created anything new.
Here's the initial wiring of the LED driver for prototyping. It's an Arduino Pro Mini microcomputer and a TLC5947 LED driver.
