At least that is what the media is saying.  Whatever.  It doesn't sound like much.  It just started snowing and won't stop until thursday.  By the end of this we will have sub-zero temps.  Sound like a normal Wisconsin winter to me.

It's been abnormally cold here in Cali too, no snow on the ground but the snow level is pretty low and the ski resorts got to open a week before Thanksgiving and it's been some time since they could do that. I think we're in for a long cold winter.

I don't know about that. What I remember about growing up in Wisconsin is to never listen to the weather guys. "12 to 20 inches of snow" really means 1 inch. "Flurries" = 3 feet.

The area is hurting with no snow. I remember when I was a kid we would have snow by Halloween. snowmobiling and skiing have been lacking the last couple of years.

Its been mild in NE PA again. Our first snow was last week and it was warm enough on Halloween to leave the front door open so the kids just walked in and out. As a Teen I remember it being real cold on mischief night and the snow wouldn't melt by afternoon. Snow would be cool if it wasn't so cold ;)
