Shared on Mon, 07/16/2007 - 16:20Transcode360 will not transcode Divx6 into something the 360 can handle. Apparently Divx is having issues with Vista. While I can play the movies on my PC when the movie starts a COM Surrogate error occurs.
Transcoding xvid and h.264 work like a charm. Media Center and Media Extender is really cool. I am going to have to get a TV card for the new computer to record TV shows.
the other issue I have is my wireless keyboard and mouse do not wake the computer form sleep. I am guessing the usb ports are not getting enough power to run the receiver in sleep mode. Probably just enough power to monitor for keystrokes from a normal keyboard. I have an old wired mouse hooked up that sits behind the monitor. I just have to click the button to wake the computer up. I am sure this isn't a Vista thing but a motherboard/bios issue. I noticed most of the power management settings in windows are the same options as in bios. So my guess is windows is just configuring the bios.
