...and it was good.  For some history, I have never fired a shotgun before.  I have fired other guns.  The first time I shot a shotgun was several weeks ago when my brother in law took me trap shooting.  Today we went to a sporting clay course to try out my new purchase.  The group was my BIN, my sister, and me.  There were 12 stations with 50 targets total.  MY BIN got 22, my sister 2, and I got 21.  My sister was using my BIN's 20ga gas shotty.  It was a little big for her.  At the last station she tried my gun - she got 3 out of 4.  She liked my gun but it is heavy and has a little more kick.  She said she couldn't do the entire course with it.

So overall I am happy with the purchase.  It seems well built.  It is a bit on the heavy side - guess I just need to work out abit :)

Not a bad score! Lemme drop a little hint on ya to help you bust clays. I am by no means an expert, but shoot fairly decent scores and have seen this help several new shotgun shooters. When tracking a clay, point out your index finger of your support hand. Keep it contacted to the forearm, but point it out parallel to the barrel. We can all naturally track a moving object by pointing at it, this will help you stay on target, the only trick then is figuring the lead. Hope this helps.

By the way, sorry if I was out of line offering some advice. Just saw that you are new to shotguns, and I get excited when someone new gets interested in hobbies I love.
