topsy turvy experiment

So, just a quick update on the whole topsy turvy experiment.

 

I have my first two tomatoes growing! and it looks like they will actually be pickable and edible. Much different than the fiasco last year. I admit i was skeptical that I'd even get this far. We'll see if I get more than just a couple.

So. The verdict so far is... success!

Goooooood luck. We tried those things last year and I think they're the biggest piece of crap. We monitored soild content, watering, ffreakin everything and every tomato turned black. And they didn't produce worth a darn either. We tried six different plants and they all had the same outcome.But the same lot of plants were also put into the ground and the flourished. So again I say, good luck. :)

Those things don't come with seeds.........So you bought a basket with holes in it? I fail to see the appeal

My son got the topsy-turvy for peppers. He also planted some in regular planters. After about a month, the ones in the planters are doing so much better that he has transplanted the topsy turvy peppers into regular planters. Our experiment is over, the TT blows.
