These are my 5 simple rules for guys (sorry girls, these don't apply to you) that are thinking of getting a divorce, having a divorce force upon them or are in the midst of one.

Just wanted to say that my last alimony payment went out last paycheck. The one for this friday will be my first official paycheck that is not tainted with the stink of alimony.

I'll be doing the "alimony is over" dance this friday!!!! This is like getting 15% pay increase, and I didn't have to do a thing to get it other than endure the pain of giving my PEW money for four years.

so. i figured out the hole in the floor issue. thanks for the pointers - it was gypcrete btw... just filled the hole in with some quick set filler. Worked great.

so. i'm remodeling my kitchen. I've taken all the old cabinets out, removed a couple small walls. rewired almost all of the electrical and moved the plumbing from the center of the room to the side - all to make the kitchen bigger and more usable.

btw - i used a professional plumber and electrician to do the tough stuff. There is not a chance that I would have been able to do what they did. Got to watch and learn though!

So. Today was going to be the first day of my new weekly electronic visitation (i.e. xbox time). It is spelled out very specifically what is required for both parties. I must be a fool thinking that it was going to actually happen.

It didn't happen. Here is the high level details.

sent the xbox last week. kids got it on Wednesday.

kids were excited to get the xbox and set it up. PEW emails me and says they will get it hooked up prior to Sat so it is ready to go.
