Shared on Thu, 10/18/2007 - 06:03So, I'm thinking that I'll have a shot at creating my own guild. I've never been keen on the 'hardcore' and 'casual' labels, but for lack of a better word, 'casual' will have to do for now.
I have an idea for a guild that is aimed solely at players, like myself, who have neither the time nor the inclination to log raid in the current end-game environment. The guild name I'm thinking of using will be 'The No Timers', and there would be no aspirations towards raiding at all - just a place for mature gamers to come and hang out with like-minded people.
It would be a guild which is casual-only, instead of just being 'casual-friendly'. At the moment, I could probably make time to raid on a regular basis, but the truth of the matter is that I just don't want to, and I doubt that I'm the only player out there who feels that way, and I'd like to create a place we can call home.
To that end, I'll be posting the following recruitment post shortly on the official EU forums, and on the www.shadowsongeurope.com forums:
The No Timers is a concept for a guild aimed exclusively towards gamers who, like myself, have neither the time nor the inclination to raid in the end-game environment of WoW, and who don't think that 'casual' is a bad word.
If your job or home life prevents you from raiding, or raiding just isn't for you, then 'The No Timers' just might be the guild for you. The intention is to make the guild a place where mature and friendly gamers can log on, relax and help one another out with group quest or five-mans if they feel like it, but still be free from the pressure to get attuned, get geared or farm mats until your fingers bleed. All classes, specs and schedules are welcome. Just bring a mature attitude and a sense of humour.
