So, once again a massive gap between posts. I'm sure everyone managed to survive. I know I did.

I was trying to come up with something 'proper' to write about, but I think I'll just witter on about WoW for a bit, and see where we end up. So, my main up until recently was Tornik, a Tauren Druid. He got to level 67 before I hit burn out, and I shelved the game for a month or so. Our guild was going through some drama at the time, like a lot of guilds were. As the new quest reward and early Outland instance loot started to get leaked, plenty of people felt there was no point in spending hour raiding the then high-end instances for hours on end for what they saw as no reward. There were a few who said that the whole point of running these instances was to progress and down new bosses, and the loot was secondary, but most of the guild weren't swayed by that, they just wanted the epix. Add to that a few guild members with a larger-than-usual chip on their shoulder, bad attitudes and the usual mix of personality clashes, and we started haemorrhaging players. Not the end of the world, by any stretch of the imagination, but it certainly left guild morale in a bit of a slump.
As I say, I'd hit burn-out, partly because of the low morale, and partly because of my own rl problems. Eventually though, I got back into it. The guild had sucked it up, got a few new players, and they were pushing in to the new end game. They were looking for healers, and although Tornik had been resto spec'd for a long time, I'd rolled him back over to Feral to level up, and I realised that I was having too much fun with him a Feral to go back to Resto, besides, there hadn't ever been an excess of love towards Druids in the guild, if you know what I mean. Fortunately, I had a Priest alt, Verbatim, languishing somewhere around the late twenties if I remember correctly, so I decided to have a go levelling him - people were always looking for Priest after all, and it would be a change playing a 'proper' caster class.
A couple of months later, and Verbatim is due to hit level 70 in a day or two. He's Shadow spec'd of course, with a handful of points in Holy to make him a capable healer for the occasional instance, and I've been having a ball with him. Hitting 70 means I will in all likelihood reroll him to a Holy/Discipline build so I can get raid spots. Still, I knew it was coming, and to be honest, I'm kind of looking forward to it. I think I'll leave Tornik as Feral, and I can play him for fun, frolics and farming, while leaving Verbatim to Raid and craft. Hopefully the best of both worlds...

I've been thinking about the addons I'm using over the past few days. For some reason, it's started to take about a minute for WoW to load up, whereas before it was ready to go in about half the time. I run pretty mod-heavy, so I'm going to have to see about bringing them down. I use a couple of addons that affect my Unit Frames and my party members' HP and Mana levels - as a healer, it's pretty much required - and in the past it has taken a while to get everything balanced out. I'm also having to use a less than great mod to display 'target of target of target' (a fairly situational mod, but important for noting when aggro changes without warning) and I'd like to get something reliable sorted out before I start raiding Karazhan on a regular basis.
I'm thinking I'll experiment with X-Perl Unit Frames tonight, and I also want to give TBag a shot. I'll try to post tomorrow to let you know how I go. I might even go so far to list all the mods I've got running, and how they're set up.

Ooops - edited for spelling.
