Shared on Fri, 09/14/2007 - 10:55We had an unusually high amount of rain in Texas this year. When I say "unusual", I mean it too - basically 2 straight months of rain at the end of spring/beginning of summer. The plus? Well, our area lakes that were at danger conditions, 15-20 feet under normal level all swelled to flood status - upwards of 20-25 feet over normal. Our temperatures were much lower this summer than normal. And, my car got cleaned - sorta.
But now, our lakes have BLOBS! What the heck is a blob? Apprantly, it means the water is really good. But, to me, they are these huge green/brown masses that remind me of some bad liver pictures I was forced to look at in Science. Oh, that and escargo. Now, blobs are actually made up of millions of organisms called "zooids" - sure, I know you all knew that (write it down for your next Scrabble venture).
