Not actual dirty jobs, where I get dirty because then I have to take my shoes off when I go inside, and I just hate that. It’s not that it’s so hard to take my shoes off – I mean, it kinda is, I must admit. I tend to double-tie my shoelaces, so they can be difficult to remove, but this is normal for shoe-taking-off, it’s just that when my shoes are dirty, the laces are more difficult to manage. Also, my hands can get dirty on the dirty shoelaces and who wants that?
No, what I mean is that I love the show “Dirty Jobs” on the Discovery Channel with Mike Rowe. I only discovered it after they all appeared in wonderous HD and it was on at a great cigar shop called Up In Smoke in Highland Village (thanks Scot!). It’s hilarious – very funny – but educational at the same time. Basically, each episode’s one hour length is broken up into 3 jobs which Mike dryly experiences wholeheartedly without complaint yet with observational commentary which tends to break down the job into simple yet eloquent terms reachable to the common man.
Anyway, I’m in love with this awesome program and so I created a spreadsheet to track the episodes I’ve seen – I want to see every last episode, and there’s a lot to catch up on (fortunately, Discovery replays them fairly frequently). You are welcome to download this spreadsheet and use it free of charge as long as it’s only used for PERSONAL USE and not republished or distributed in any way (you may link to my website if you’d like).
