The thing is, I'm not an administrative assistant for my wife, or anyone else. I mean, how can I take on the entire responsibility of getting a hello message to anyone? What if I forget? Will the person in question feel un-"Hi"d because of me? Will it come up later - like, what if my buddy later sees my wife and asks her why she never said "Hi" back. He's like, "I said "Hi"" and she's like "no you didn't." That would be awful. Words would be exchanged (what is the exchange rate on that? Do people in Canada talk more due to the exchange rate?)
So, if you want to say something to anyone in my life, pick up the phone, write an email, whatever - but don't relay your messages through me. I can't take the pressure... LOL
Oh, and if someone tells you to say "Hi" to me, tell them to do the same - I don't want their second-hand "Hi" - I want it pure, I mean - what if you get the voice inflection wrong? What if you say "Hi" in a flirty way to me, but they said "Hi" with malicious anger in their voice? I'll think they "Hi"d me under false pretenses. Let's not have that.
