Photography Attempt

I have a feeling that Picture.com is only partially legit - sure, you can put photos into contests, but then they barage you with "Finalist" and "Editor's Choice" emails with additional info on purchasing certificates (how does a piece of paper justify more than a few pennies in cost?), copies of books with "your photo prominently displayed" and other various marked-up items.

But, that all said, I've put a couple photos up just to see where they stack. I'd love your opinion on it - click on the image or this link and it will take you to a Picture.com vote page where you can vote on it from 1-10 (10 being the highest). I'd love to get a bunch of "10" votes, but I'm also curious as to how I'm doing on my hobby of photography.

Well, the first person to visit from this link actually gave me a "2" and voted me a thumbs down on the blog, so i guess someone isn't a fan, but is motivated enough to push negativity without comment! LOL

Well, I was looking at the blogs and I saw your pic. You said you wanted to know what others thought of your pic. Honestly, I think it looks like any basic amateur zoo pic that any one would take. There is nothing artistic or special about the pic. Looks like a photo any one would make by pointing the camera at a tiger. If you are serious about this hobby I would recommend taking some classes on photography. Learn about composition, framing, and making your photos stand out from other amateur photos. Just my honest opinion. Not trying to start anything with you. : )

Your "side" of your story has nothing to do with trashing people's blogs unless there is some kind of hidden humanity rule where if you have a story, that means you should be an ass. Thanks for being honest, Pendragon. And while I can see why you think you'd need to rate the pic a 2, it doesn't explain giving a blog a thumbs down - that's not a rating system for pictures as far as I know - lol. I'd actually prefer it if you didn't read, comment on or rate my blog based on my experiences in the past with you and the way you've viciously attacked so many people I know and love. It's a free country and site and all, but I really would be a lot happier if you just didn't come by.
