Sleeping Armadillo

I woke up in the middle of the night last night - the trick for me getting back to sleep quickly is to avoid thinking. If my brain starts thinking, it feels engaged and becomes active and I can forget about sleep. Now, the whole counting sheep thing doesn't work, so I just grabbed for some other image to focus on. I don't know why (living in Texas maybe?) but I pulled up an armadillo.

To make things odder, my armadillo was suddenly flying. No cape (although it almost felt like he should have one) but he did stretch out his little stubby arms in front of him like Superman (why the heck would a flying man need to stretch out his arms anyway? They don't offer any control benefits). This awake/dream didn't last long, though, as my armadillo got run over by a passing plane.

I fell promptly asleep.

Ambien FTW. :D I have the same problem with sleeping...the mind just won't shut down at night like it should. Thank GOD for the meds. Hehe.

Ahhh, excuse me sir! Hands do help you control your flying when extended. I would know. Next time you are in your car, stick you arm out the window and make slight movements with your hands and see how that controls the whole arm. :)

Yeah the mind will keep you up at nights. Happens to me all the time. It's hard to focus and not to think about bullshit that gets you worked up. That is one cool Armadillo though.

Of course the arms help, they disrupt the airflow and keep the bugs out of your eyes and off your teeth! Don't you know anything?

When I go out for a fly, I like to fly while in the standing position. Or sometimes while in the sitting position. But when I'm in the sitting position, people just think I'm driving an invisible plane and they don't respect my flying ability. I fell asleep while flying once. I woke up in Siberia. They don't have armadillos there.
