Sport Injury?

I know you've heard of Tennis Elbow and other maladies that strike athletes. Well, I consider my hands as an athletic portion of my body, and therefore I must be afflicted with a sports injury, however I cannot find a diagnosis code for it. Yup, I have been hit with Halo Finger.

Now, I'm sure that my current afflicted state of Halo Finger is my fault - I hold the controller weird, and I grip it too tightly. By "weird", I mean that I don't hold it as intended with four fingers on the shoulder/trigger buttons. I use one finger on the left and one on the right and move them between the buttons (how inefficient is that!). I grip the controller tightly and what seems to be happening is that the 3rd finger on my left hand is rubbing on the controller badly and the knuckle is swelling up on the side, and it HURTS!

What is proper therapy for this? Playing Viva Pinata? Maybe Uno? I don't know, but apparantly insurance doesn't cover it.

Start gripping your controller properly? Why are you always trying to be different? ;)

I bet it will start getting better since your aware of your playing style affecting it. At first I was concerned it may be something like Maurice Ronald has:arthritis of the hands, wrists and tendons. Thats why you dont see him playing anymore, last I spoke with him he is leary of the "stiffness" of the 360 controllers. :(
