Shared on Wed, 08/16/2006 - 14:39I think it's strange that whenever someone's kidnapped, at least in the movies, the photo always has a newspaper in it. Where do you learn that? I mean, as a kid, we never took family photos holding a newspaper. And, if we had, it wouldn't have been the front page - it probably would've been the "Today" section of the Dallas Morning News. That section doesn't exist anymore, but back then it had the comics and movie listings and stuff.
Why do we reserve newspaper photography for kidnappers, anyway? It's a valid form of date stamping, to some extent. I mean, these days with digital photos, I can't always tell when I actually took a picture after it gets date stamped by my camera, then file stamped on my pc plus modify stamped when I make changes. I need to incorporate more newspapers in my photography.
I wonder if kidnappers are close to a newspaper stand, or if they get home delivery.
