Hey, Gamefly members. What's your lost/rented ratio like?

So I've been a Gamefly member for a couple of months now. I joined because I wanted to start reviewing games but didn't have the cash to shell out for new--or even used--copies of everything.

My first Gamefly experience was fantastic. As soon as I signed up, the first two games in my queue were out the door to me. One was even a new release: Red Faction-Guerrilla. I was impressed. When I sent both games back, they were returned without incident, and I was promptly notified that my next game was on the way.

That's when it got wonky. My next game got lost in the mail. So they sent me another copy. A couple discs later, another game got lost in the mail. Then another... And today I suspected a fourth was going to give up the ghost. (Thankfully, a few minutes ago I received a text message alerted me that they had received the game.)

Anyway, it got me thinking: I wonder what my ration of lost games vs. total games rented is?

It is 3/9.

One-third.

Is this normal? Does anyone else have these problems? I know Gamefly is entering a legal battle with the Postal Service over some related issues. But I just wanted to know if anyone else has this kind of a win-loss record with Gamefly. Or am I unique?

I've been using it for over 6 months without incident until last week. It said Madden 10 and Dead Rising were sent on Thursday and Friday, yet I haven't received either one yet. Usually I get them within a few days, so I filed a report via email. I love how they respond that they will investigate whether they can meet my needs. In other words, I'm on the list as a risk through no fault of my own. My roommate got his a few days ago with no problems.

I've been a member for something like 9 months and never lost a game. Perhaps there is an issue with how they have your address on the label--I finally had to give up on National Geographic because no matter how hard I tried, they were just unable to manage to get my unit number added to the address and I would never ever get anything they sent me.

Mike, Well, one of the lost games was lost on its way to me, and the other two were lost going back... So the problem is at both ends, I guess. -Nerd

Maybe your local postal carrier has sticky fingers? I have always wondered about that.

I thought about that the first time, and so I started mailing my discs back from different locations. The two that went missing on the way back were mailed from two completely separate post offices clear on opposite sides of town...
