What's your statute of limitations for game reviews?
So how long after a game is released do you stop being interested in game reviews?
Thirty days?
Ninety days?
Is there a statute of limitations on game reviews, when they should stop being written?

Unless it's animated and sacrastic like Zero Punctuation, i dont' read reviews older than 30 days. hell i think even that is too old really. I'm most interested in reading reviews BEFORE the game comes out, but i also konw these reviews aren't 100% accurate since reviews can and are bought. So if it's a game i'm not sure about, i think am interested in hearing player reviews a week or two after the game's released. But by 3 weeks out, i'm not interested in reviews on that game anymore.
Depends on the game and like Tank said on the medium.\r

If it's a blockbuster... a few weeks, but I am not one to buy stuff on the opening day. However if there is a significant MP component I don't mind waiting a while for a good review. Frankly I am suspect of reviews for things like CoD on the first day. You can't judge the MP until you get into the \"real world\".\r

But for little arcade games? months. \r

What I like to see in a review is a) criteria for a score. b) I want to know how much of the game you completed. \r

I reviewed games before (and I am ashamed to admit) I didn't finish them. Why? My editor was on my case, wanted it out right away. It was supposed to be a part time thing, but would want a review of a game within a week or less (I just had a kid by that point, I don't get on the xbox until 7:30 at the best). So what happened? My editor wanted speed of review over a quality review.\r

AND he wanted my score to be the second or third highest score on metacritic.\r

yeah... not working there anymore.
