Shared on Sun, 10/07/2007 - 22:47 Ok, so there's nothing truly mind-boggling or thought provoking on my mind this week. Not that I really ever have some great epiphanies or anything, just the fact that there is not much exciting right now.
Halo 3 has been out for well over a week now. At this point, it's a hair pulling experience trying to collect all of the skulls in the game. I'm usually not that big of a completist, but I have had lots of ideas lately for some machinima that would involve several of the new armor sets. Once I get done with this blog entry, it's back to trying to write out my ideas. Otherwise, Halo 3 is still a daily addiction, either online or on my own. I just love blowing stuff up.
My cable modem has recently been trying to crap out on me, at random intervals over the last several weeks. It would go down while I might be playing in a team slayer game, but not when I was on the phone with tech support. So after numerous phone calls, they finally sent someone out to look at it yesterday. I showed him to my computer room and pointed towards the modem, and he looked dumbfounded. Looking at my equipment, (which includes my modem, wireless router, 12-port Cisco switch (FREEBIE!!!), and internet phone adapter) he said "I don't know what all this stuff is." It was like I was asking one of my neighbors' little kids to do my taxes. How do these people get their jobs, much less keep them? Ehh, I'll save the stupid people stuff for another blog. Long story short, I now have a new cable modem.
Another interesting tech support call I had to make was for my 360 giving me an error. I have been getting 1 red light on the ring, lower right, with E68 error code. To my understanding, that means something is up with the memory unit, 20GB hard drive in my case. It turned out to be another moron that barely speaks recognizable English and shoves his headset mic down his throat breathing too heavily. Not a particularly fun phone call. He told me to "download the updates" and if it did it again to call back so I could send in my CONSOLE for repair. I had to correct him and tell him it was the hard drive. Moron.
Well, that's about it for a typical week for me. Till next time.
