The Intelligence Revolution

It is harder to see a thing from within a thing, but it is possible. Copernicus proved this to be true. To a degree we still have a flawed idea of the nature of humanity. Many people believe the universe to be human centric, when the more practical of us understands this can not be true. There is more evidence that we are a consequence of the mulitverse, as opposed to the purpose of the multiverse.

As technology progresses at it's exponential rate, we will become ever more pressed to either shift our paradigms to the new understanding of the world around us, or be left behind as others unravel the secrets of the world around us. We can either embrace the change to come, or fight it. One way will ensure our continued existence, the other may destroy us all. Which is which, I will leave up to you, constant reader. I only say that conflict is never the answer. There must be a diplomacy. We already see these birth pains in regard to this advancement with the argument of "Creationism" vs. "Evolution" (or Religion vs. Science) in our school systems . These disagreements will happen, but we must be mindful to avoid what could eventually become an all out "Artilect War".

These new emerging technologies produce faster learning, more intelligent (and sometimes more silly stupid), and more philosophical humans than ever before in history. In every real way we are living in an era of New Enlightenment. A period of "Digital Enlightenment". With all the stupidity and silliness we witness from individuals struggling to be seen and acting out in order to garner attention, it is hard to see, but it is true. Hell, if you really even take a good look at the "stupid" ones, you might be suprised to discover how calculating and intelligent they really are. Even the most common citizen of todays world is more philosophical than than the Kings of yesterday's world. It is amazing to think how jaded we have become to the amazing things happening around us, and the amazing changes that are taking place ever single day. We are literally blinded by the light of this enlightenment.

In today's blog post I am linking a BBC special presentation with Dr. Michio Kaku where he shows us some of the signs of this growing revolution and New Enlightenment. I have only seen this on youtube, no netflix here.

Yet again, signs that we are living in an amazing time, a time that very well be remembered for generations to come. What will we make of it?

As my final thought, I would just say the coming future is a very serious thing. It bares down on us like an angry elephant with tusks sharp as razors, and it can be scarey. But I've found that angry elephants are much less angry than misunderstood, and sometimes the elephant just needs the thorn taken out of it's foot. There is no cure-all here. But there is no turning back either. We either progress and live, or stagnate and die. Those are the only two options. I will leave it up to you, constant reader, to decide on which path leads to progression, and which leads to stagnation. I think you know my opinion.

I don't want to end this blog on such a serious note. In addition to all this seriousness I'm going to toss in a bit of fun. This man, along with other contemporaries of his calliber, is a herald of this new Awakening, this New Enlightenment. He is truly a Renessaince Man of today.. He not only has performed in various bands through the years, but has since become a prolific composer, writing most of the movie scores for Tim Burton's movies, and artisan of the visual arts.
