By the end of next month I'm supposed to be moved into my new house. The problem is I'm moving to a more secluded area and internet connects aren't as abound.

Right now I have Time Warner cable internet as a provider. My connection speed is over 2500 kbps download and over 950 kbps upload.
At the new house there is no cable or dsl available. So my only options are dial-up, or satellite.
Dial-up isn't really an option at all, so lets just forget that. And the best satellite can offer is a 1500 kbps download with a 250 kbps upload.

I'm screwed.

You are Screwed.... LoL Ironically I moved..... To get better Internet. And this was after a Year of suffering with 1meg down and 200 k up. Xbox Live told me you have to have at least a connection of 1.8 meg down... To play with. Good luck....

Ya Dish Internet really sucks. It's not really good for much more than average web surfing and email. And it's hella expensive for what you get as well. My dad and sister just moved to the country and are in the same boat. They're on Dialup right now, i can't imagine going back to that ! As a side thought , how is the cell coverage out there? Many of the cell providers now have broadband cards you can get for your laptop that offer high speed. You could then plug your xbox into your laptop network connector and then bridge the two together and your 360 can get only through the laptop. I've done that in some hotels, bridged my WiFi and wired network adapters together to get online with the 360. Might want to check into that and weigh out the speeds and costing.

The next bad news is that you can't use satellite for gaming. Too much latency.
