48 Hours until the Big Event - Gamers Gone Wild 2011

Momentum is buiding as we are a little over 48 hours away from the doors opening on Gamers Gone Wild 2011. I went to the event venue, Felt, today to do a final walk through with Emminentt and our partners at Game Underground. The new venue is amazing. I am 100% certain that you will all be very impressed. Here are a few key notes as we come down the home stretch leading up the the biggest party to be held during PAXEast.

• Be sure to bring your PAXEast Expo badge. You will need it to get in without a cover charge.
• Get to the venue EARLY. The doors open at 8pm and we fully expect to see long lines to get in and to reach capacity early in the evening. Once the venue is at capacity, it's one in/one out, controlled by the venue management. You have been warned.
• Due to on-site logistical issues, we will NOT have the full-sized Street Fighter II cab at the event. However, you CAN still win the cab. All you have to do is win 10 straght matches (best 2 of 3) and the cab is yours. First one to do so takes it home.
• We have arranged for the amazing TRON console created by Omega_CaseMods to be displayed within the ACAM Classic Arcade (Room 206 in the PAXEast Expo Hall) from 10am - 4pm on Friday. You will be able to purchase tickets ($5 per chance to win) during this period. The custom Console will also be on display during out Gamers Gone Wild Event. Tickets will be available for purhcase at GGW from 8pm - 11pm and the winner will be announced around midnight. You DO NOT need to be present to win.
• Finally, we are still looking for volunteers to help spread the word about Gamers Gone Wild on the Expo floor on Friday and to help with set up and break down of the event. If you would like to help, please email me at waterborn@2old2play.com
