As I mentioned via my twitter feed last week, if we raise more than $5,000 I will give away a full-sized arcade cab to one luck contributor. I wanted to find something special for this prize and I did. Behold Ninja Clowns!
Now some of you may be saying "WTF is Ninja Clowns?" Well I had to ask myself the same question when I first heard about this gaming becoming available. Released in 1991 by Strata Games, Ninja Clowns follows the adventures of the title character as he attempts to free the Centerville from the diabolical grip of the Evil Twisto. This game is a side-scrolling brawler in the vein of Double Dragon, Streets of Rage and the like. It allows for drop-in, drop-out single or two-player play and continues on the addition of new quarters, which is good, cause this game is rather difficult. I will be posting a full run-through of the game via video very soon, so stay tuned to this blog for updates. The arcade cab itself is in excellent shape and can be set on FREE-play. The coin mechs work perfectly and the monitor is crisp and clear. This game is rather rare, so if we do not reach the $5,000 fund-raising mark (don't let me down people), it will be making its way up to the American Classic Arcade Museum at Funspot in Wiers Beach, NH. So donated a few bucks, or more than just a few, to help us support Childs Play and you could be taking this arcade cab home with you from PAXEast in March.

Oh yeah, and if we break the $6,000 fund-raiser mark, I will also pay for the arcade cab to be shipped anywhere in the continental US. So get on it folks and let's raise some money to bring gaming to hospitalized children.
