Halo Waypoint Update

On June 1st Halo Waypoint launched a community-based art contest, asking interested Halo fans to submit art based on their favorite Halo Evolutions story. The contest runs through July 15 with potential winners having their entries printed in a future edition of Halo Evolutions published by Tor Books.

We have also provided brief excerpts from each Evolutions story to help anyone who doesn’t have the book immediately available to them get a feel for the stories. The excerpts can be found below the official rules at the link above.

Louis Wu over at halo.bungie.org (HBO) helped us announce the contest and once we start receiving entries HBO will be hosting a special image gallery highlighting the submissions, so I want to give a quick shout out to Louis and HBO… Thanks for your support with this contest and your continued support of the Halo community!!!!

 

And, speaking of…

 

 

This Saturday, June 5th, Halo Waypoint will be running a new episode of This Spartan Life, hosted by Damian Lacedaemion, with Louis Wu, founder of halo.bungie.org and someone who has dedicated countless hours and energy providing the Halo community with a continually updated, informative and entertaining gathering place.

 

Also, as we move further from the Halo: Reach beta and closer to the game’s official launch on September 14th, Halo Waypoint  will have a handful of Reach-specific videos to help you pass the time. One such video is “Return to Powerhouse,” a short return to one of the maps highlighted in the beta, showcasing just some of the action and environments Powerhouse has to offer.

 

 

^^^ Seriously. That blue dude’s about to catch a face full-o-hammer. Or is he (I’m pretty sure he is, but felt like asking anyway J)?
