Today I received an email from Jon Goff, Community Manager at 343 and Community lead for the Halo Waypoint Project. Jon let us in on a sneak preview of the new Halo Waypoint Animated Series "Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian" , which launched last Saturday and continues this weekend. Unlike the previous "Halo Legends" content, this material will remain accessible on the XBox Live Halo Waypoint servers beyond 48 hours. Here is what Jon had to say about this new endeavor:
"Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian"
Written by Frank O'Connor
Animated by ONE
343 Industries has partnered with ONE to create a stunning motion comic based on Frank O’Connor’s Halo: Evolutions short story. Told in ONE's unique artistic style, "Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian" is a story of bravery and sacrifice in the darkest parts of space. "Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian" will air weekly as a four-part series exclusive to Halo Waypoint, starting this Saturday, January 16th. After the final episode, the Midlothian series will be available on Waypoint indefinitely so fans can come back to watch this amazing story again and again.
"Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian" Episode Schedule
Episode 1 – AVAILABLE NOW on Waypoint
Episode 2 - January 23rd
Episode 3 - January 30th

I am working to procure some Halo Waypoint goodies to be given away during our Gamers Gone Wild party at the upcoming PAXEast Convention in Boston in March. So if you would like the opportunity to win some cool Halo Waypoint SWAG, be sure to let Jon know by sending him a message via Twitter
Gears of War Comic Issue #11 Released This Week
For those of you still following the Gears of War Comic Book Series, Issue #11 was released this week and it looks pretty good. I will refrain from printing any spoilers here, but the cover alone gives the impression that Marcus Fenix may be in some deep trouble.
I have secured several extra copies of this issue and hope to have Carlos Ferro (the voice of Dom Santiago in the game series) sign them. These signed copies will then be given away during our Gamers Gone Wild Party at PAXEast, so be sure make your plans now for your chance to win a copy. There may also be some other cool Gears of War SWAG to be given way during this event, so stay tuned fore more updates soon.
