Because of this we have to stop taking your kind hearted donation for the Tron console until we figure out a better way to handle things. This truely is a blow to our efforts and we are going to work 24/7 to figure out a new way to sell raffle tickets ASAP. If you have already donated DON'T WORRY. Everyones Ticket is 100% valid for Pax East. Stay Tuned!
As most of you know by now (at least I hope you know) OmegaMaximus75 is creating a Custom TRON XBox 360 console that we are going to raffle off to raise funds for Child's Play during our Gamers Gone Wild Party in conjunction with PAXEast on March 11th. With only 24 days left until our party, I was a bit saddened that we have only been able to raise a little over $300 thus far. So today, in a fit of frustration and knowing full well that the members of this community and our affiliates can do much, much better than that, I had an inspiration. I love to collect and restore classic arcade coin-op machines. Every time someone comes over and sees my home arcade, they pretty much flip out. So I thought, what better way to motivate gamers than the promise of a chance to win one of the ultimate game types for any geek's collection - a restored classic arcade coin-op game.
So here is the deal - if we are able to raise at least $5,000 by Monday, March 7th I will pesonally donate a coin-op arcade game to be given away during Gamers Gone Wild in conjunction with this fundraiser. Everyone who donates the minimum of $5 will be entered to win. Once we raise at least $1,000 I will disclose which arcade game will be up for grabs. Once we hit $2,000 I will post the first picture. More details and more pictures will be released as we approach the final goal of $5,000. And if we surpass this goal and raise $6,000 before Friday, March 11th, I will include shipping of the arcade game to ANYWHERE IN THE LOWER 48. So spread the word, empty out your piggy banks and pool money with your closest friends. Do whatever you have to do. Let's raise at least $5,000 for hospitalized kids. In the process you could go home from PAXEAst with your very own arcade game.
