NEO GEO Lives!

As some of you may remember, I picked up a couple of NEO GEO arcade cabs back in September for pretty cheap. Neither were working, but given what I paid for them, I figured it was a great deal. I sold the 2-slot cab to get funds to rebuild the 4-slot version. Eventually I ended up buy a new 4-slot board, replacing all the capacitors on the sound board and swapping out the monitor. Well, today I FINALLY got this thing up and running.

I have to that I am pretty stoked to get this machine up and running. I still have to swap out the joysticks and buttons with new ones that I purchased some time ago. Currently, the game has Metal Slugs 1 & 2, World Heroes 2 and a soccer game in it. I plan to keep the first two and add Metal Slug 3 & 4 to the roster. I also need to check to see if the earphone jacks are working. Finally, the marquee lighting system is FUBAR and needs to be replaced. I had one NEO GEO 1-slot conversion previously, but have always wanted a 4-slot dedicated cab. Can't wait to share this with everyone at my Pre- PAXEast party in March.
