2010 was definitely The Year In TRON for me (much to some people's shegrin I must say). Over the past year my love for all things TRON has increased more than I could have imagined, thanks in part to the TRON Legacy, Flynn Lives viral marketing campaign. For the better part of last year, I followed clues and the online puzzle solving over at uNfiction and had a blast every step of the way. I also recharged my love for the orginal arcade cabinent by purchasing one for my own collection and am playing it on a daily basis, improving my high score a little bit at a time. Though I know that many of you are sick and tired of TRON by now, I have one more photo to share with you before I put my light cycle and identity disk away (until the next movie comes out that is - fingers are crossed). After returning from almost two weeks on the road, we finally received our mail today. Among the past-due bills, late Christmas cards and junk-mail, I found a bonanza of TRON goodness. Many of these items were purchased or traded for and a few were gifts received from fellow Flynn Lives enthusiasts. This was a great way to finish my personal Year of TRON.

Looking Forward to 2011
In addition to my addiction to all things TRON related, I reinforced another of my grand affections in 2010 by getting engaged to my girlfriend and partner in crime of six years. I am now 43 years old and have never been married and my partner is proof positive that all good things come to those who wait. She is undoubtedly the best thing that has ever happened to me. We spent much of our recent vacation and road trip checking into wedding venues. We are planning to get married in Virginia Beach (where we met) in the Spring of 2012. I am amazed at how much planning must be done and how many decisions must be made between now and then. It is literally mind boggling and my fiance has twice the amount of things to think about given wedding dresses, brides maids and what now. We are having a blast in the process though and I am very much looking forward to 2012. Given all that we have in front of us, you may notice that I will be less visable in the coming year. I will still be here, working as much as I can to promote 2old2play, both internally and to the public at large. However, once PAXEast is behind us, my total focus will be on our upcoming wedding.
Speaking of PAXEast, the planning for this Expo and our Gamers Gone Wild Party with our friends over at SFX-360 is now in full gear. We have a date (Saturday, MArch 12th), a venue (The Market in Boston's Financial District) and we are working on the details as I type. Things to expect from Gamers Gone Wild 2011 - A bigger venue, more SWAG, special guests from the video game industry, DJ's, tournaments, classic arcade cabs, four levels of video game madness and much more. So stay tuned to the Front Page here at 2old2play.com, my twitter and this blog for details and be sure to shoot me a PM if you are planning to attend PAXEast and want to be a part of the event by volunteering to represent 2old2play during Gamers Gone Wild.
